Grungy

Song of the day: "Waste" by Foster the People.
Quote of the day: "Our eyes are placed in front because it's more important to look to the future than the past."
Yesterday was a lot of fun. My friend and I went to my middle school's festival thing and it was a blast! It was great seeing old friends and teachers. I miss everyone.
This outfit is my take on grunge, adding my own flair to it. It's totally chill. I made this headband when we went on a field trip to Aquarena Springs over the summer. It's cattail grass!
Ah, I'm up to my neck in written analysis and lab reports. It's crazy.
I hope everyone has a great weekend. Don't forget to go to church tomorrow! God bless.

Your Highness

Song of the day: "Pause" by Pitbull.
Quote of the day: "Do I turn left when nothing is right, or do I turn right when there's nothing left?"
Highness, galore! Complete with a somewhat Elizabethan collar. I'm reading Julius Cesar right now, actually. And I don't understand a word of it. (: My aunt sent me these shorts over the summer. They're so vintage-y.
Anyway, church was awesome today! I hope everyone's Sunday ends well.
By the way, my mom says I should wear harem pants to our 80's dance..?

P.S. I saw Captain America this weekend (it was awesome). So now I've been inspired to wear 40's clothes tomorrow. Yes!

Nothing That Is So, Is So

Song of the day: "Mowgli's Road" by Marina & the Diamonds
Quote of the day: "You can't please everyone every single time." -Lorenzo Hernandez
I'm sorry I have, like, no life anymore. BUT, I'm really happy at my high school, so that's good.
This outfit is totally chill and I love it. The shirt is from our Twelfth Night play last year. We ordered them from American Apparel. I got the pants from Juicy when we went to the outlets in February. They ended up costing $20-$30. Extreme Couponing, right here. I got the shoes on the same trip and they're probably my favorite pair.
Friday we're having a dance! It's like our homecoming since we don't have one. The theme is 80's so I'll definitely post pictures of the crazy outfit I come up with that'll probably include neons, suspenders, Converse, and crazy scarves.
Yesterday was so much fun! I went with my family to see a play, The Jungle Book, which influenced our song of the day. And tonight I'm going to the movies with some friends so that should be fun!

Blocking Color

Song of the day: "Americano" by Lady GaGa.
Quote of the day: "Love doesn't hurt. Rejection hurts. Love is just pure happiness."
The reason I haven't posted in so long is because I have zero downtime. I literally spend every second doing homework. High school's tough. My apologies.
I love this outfit! It's bright and perfect for the ridiculous heat. I bought the shorts at a thrift store and the shirt  used to be my mom's. My sister gave me these shoes since they didn't fit anymore. She's nine. It's so sad. Anyway, the look is all about bright colors, obviously. Even the socks!

Neutrals

Song of the day: "Girls" by Marina & the Diamonds.
Quote of the day: "Others have seen what is and asked why. I have seen what could be and asked why not." -Pablo Picasso
I wore this for my brother's birthday dinner a few days ago! It was a lot of fun.
My red pants arrived! And I bought a black blazer and colored shorts which means I just crossed three things off my wishlist!!
I'm so excited to start school. This year is going to be amazing, and even more with incredible clothes, hair, and makeup. Bring it on.
The only thing I need to buy for school now is a backpack... I hope everyone has a good "hump day"!

P.S. I'm going to also blog in Spanish from now on, starting on my next post!

Dreaming Is Free

Song of the day: "Looking Up" by Paramore.
Quote of the day: "If you don't know, don't judge."
Hey! I love this outfit. My sister made the headband at this summer program. The shoes are hers too! Her foot is bigger than mine now, so I'll be keeping all the shoes she currently has, since I've been a size 6 for a few years now.
Back to school shopping has begun! My sister and I dragged my parents to Forever 21 and got two shirts, which I'll post eventually. She got leopard print jeggings which almost fit me, but don't. I looked for some red jeans but couldn't find any so I went online shopping instead! I found some from Hot Topic. Currently, I'm looking for a bag for school.I have three options so far!
My aunt mailed us a box a few days ago. Guess what was there for me! High-waisted shorts! (Not the ones pictured. My mother got me those.)
I hope everyone has an amazing weekend!

Clear Lake

Song of the day: "Little Lion Man" by Mumford and Sons.
Quote of the day: "Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former." -Albert Einstein.
Hello lovelies! I got home from Houston/Galveston Island last night. It was a blast! I went with my dad, brother, and sister (she's in the first and last pictures). In Houston, we went to NASA, which was mind-blowing since I've always been fascinated by outer space and am a complete science nerd. At Galveston Island, we went to the Moody Gardens Aquarium which was stunning. We got to touch sea stars (starfish is a common misconception because sea stars aren't fish)! After that, we went to the beach. I'd never actually been to a Texas beach but it's not ugly like everyone says! And now my back is sunburned. All in all, our vacation was educational but still a party.
My mom bought this shirt for herself but it didn't fit so she gave it to us. My sister claimed it but let me borrow it for the trip. It's really thin: perfect for the Texas sun. The shorts are my go-to denim shorts.
So the rest of my summer consists of doing sweet nothings which is fine by me.
On me: Shirt: A'gaci, Shorts: Aéropostale, Shoes: Converse, Glasses: Ray-Ban.
On my sister: Shirt: Juicy Couture, Skirt: Old Navy, Shoes: Puma, Glasses: Juicy Couture.
